This image is from CH4 publicity for 'Fallout' at:-http://www.channel4sales.com/programming/c4/seasonal?genre=4

My most recent work is Fallout for UK CH4 to be screened later in 2008.
Directed by Ian Rickson.
Produced by Matt Jones at Company Pictures.

The film was shot in and around the Wallworth Estate, Elephant and Castle. I shot mostly on 64D 16mm Fuji film achieving a fine grain with very truthful colours. Pretty challenging in a British October.
I used an ARRI 416 16mm film camera mostly with Hi Speed Zeiss lenses and a good deal on the Canon 200mm T1.8

The following extract from CH4 press releases 2008.

Award-winning playwright Roy Williams has adapted his acclaimed play Fallout into a one-off gripping drama. Set in London, Fallout stars Lennie James as Joe, a policeman returning to the estate on which he grew up, to investigate the murder of a black teenager.

The single drama is directed by leading theatre director Ian Rickson - previously the Artistic Director of the Royal Court Theatre - in his television debut.

Roy Williams' script goes to the heart of the rise in gun and knife killings involving British teenagers this year, and captures the culture and circumstances that are wrecking these young lives. Fallout was written as a passionate and powerful reflection on race, law and order in the aftermath of the Stephen Lawrence and Damilola Taylor cases.
